BLUE MOON 2013 CNBLUE World Tour Concert LIVE in Malaysia at Stadium Negara

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

CNBLUE’s first concert in Malaysia was a success!! The show sponsored by SAMSUNG which was part of BLUE MOON 2013 CNBLUE World Tour at Stadium Negara just last night (Saturday) definitely gave Malayian BOICE a satisfying concert experience with 200% sincerity from Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jong-hyun, Lee Jung Shin and Kang Min-hyuk of CNBLUE.

Event: BLUE MOON 2013 CNBLUE World Tour Concert LIVE in Malaysia
Date: 24 August 2013 (Saturday)
Venue: Stadium Negara

The concert started at around 7.30PM with an opening act which was pretty disappointing. A 3 minutes introduction video was played before the group came out and perform more than 20 tracks in the 2 and a Half hours show.

Usually, when overseas acts come to Malaysia to perform, they will learn a few Malay words to interact with Malaysian fans and make them happy. Apa Khabar and Aku cinta padamu are two generic terms they normally use.

CNBLUE is the ONE act that gives me the impression that they are serious in interacting with fans and they really want to connect with them. At one point, MinHyuk said this – Di Malaysia banyak makanan yang sedap and paused a short while before going on stating SATAY and Nasi Lemak. Satay…..satay! I know Satay, nasi lemak, you know? Saya mahu makan satay! The crowd went ecstatic then. Apart from that the boys also use words like Saya, Jumpa Lagi, Rindu Kami? Kami pun rindu kamu!, Bagaimana kamu rasa?, Kami CNBLUE & etc.

Even a simple term like Terima Kasih, they kept repeating it instead of saying ONCE and using english – Thank You the whole way after. There was a break in between the tracks where Terima Kasih was mentioned in different tone because they have no idea how was the exact tone to pronounce it. I’m pretty sure that in the eyes of Malaysian BOICE, this piece of sincerity displayed by the boys from CNBLUE definitely made this Malaysian stop a unique concert amongst the whole World Tour. They realy did took some time to go through Malay language and learning how to speak it.

Through out the performances, CNBLUE also included MALAYSIA as part of their lyrics. During Love Light, the fans initiated a project which was to raise their pink light sticks up high and it was one of the highlight of the concert. Of course, the blue light sticks which enhanced the whole performance by CNBLUE during the night was really beautiful!!

Last but not least, the lighting setup and how the concert production team cleverly apply different spot lights and colors during the whole concert kept me in awe. CNBLUE’s talent in music be it vocals and music instruments is definitely not a doubt, but what made the whole show much nicer to watch was the various lightings combination. FREAKING GOOD SHOW.

CNBLUE BLUE MOON WORLD TOUR on Malaysian News; CNBLUE Returned To Kuala Lampur

Rough Trans

CNBLUE had ever visited Kuala Lumpur in early of this year, popular band from Korea CNBLUE return one more time for their solo concert on Saturday; their first visit was for Golden Disk award last January.

CNBLUE Blue Moon World Tour who held in Merdeka Stadium (it’s a mistake, because BM Malaysia was held at Stadium Nagara) attended by almost 10.000 audiences, not only in Kuala Lumpur but their World Tour has been visited in the Philippines, Hongkong, Singapore and Australia.

Yonghwa: ‘We have a lot of planning regarding a world tour and we will focus on that matter. After the world tour ended we will start to make new song and release a new album.’

Established in 2009, the rock band that consists of Jung Yonghwa, Lee Jonghyun, Lee Jungshin and Kang Minhyuk still consider to keep playing the rock genre (for their music).

Yonghwa: ‘We want to keep our identity still, but we are also wanted to try to play the pure rock genre. But for now we want to focus on commercials music to represent our music.’

Inspired by UK’s band OASIS, Yonghwa confesses that he composed song according to his own feeling at that time and his surrounding.

Yonghwa: ‘When I’m happy, I’ll write it down to the lyric. Sometimes I have inspiration when I’m about to go to bed. So its really depending on my situation (or surrounding).’

‘In one song could have different feeling when we listen to in from CD and when we sing it in the live. I feel the feeling is different from our CD sound.’

CNBLUE’s latest song, I’m sorry, not only became a hit in Korea but also reached high peak in Japan.

Yonghwa: ‘In this album there single titled ‘Coffee Shop’, I had inspiration when I was at a coffee shop. ‘Naran Namja’ (A Guy Like Me) inspired by a phrase on the internet. As well as ‘I’m Sorry’ that’s telling about a guy who expressed his feeling after he broke up and how he treats his memories (about his relationship before).’

CNBLUE is now busy promoting their Japanese album titled ‘One More Time.’ (There’s a mistake here, CNBLUE’s latest Japanese album is titled ‘What Turns You On’ and ‘One More Time’ is the title track for ‘What Turns You On’)

*Note: I’m Indonesian, not Malaysian and the Malaysian language is slightly different from Bahasa, so please forgive me if I misstranslate*

“APA KHABAR?”, CNBLUE Greets the Press Before Their World Tour in Malaysia (Q&A session)

Korean popular boy band CNBLUE finally made their second appearance in Malaysia after this year’s Golden Disc Award which was held in Malaysia too back then in January. The boys were welcomed by over 100 of fans who flooded the airport to meet them.

A press conference was held at Grand Hyatt Hotel a day before their Blue Moon World Tour in Malaysia. CNBLUE’s members entered the press conference room in high spirits. They greeted the press with “Apa Khabar” and introduced themselves in English before pursuing with a short Q&A session. With bubbly and friendly personality, CNBLUE’s members managed to make the press conference really lively and happening.

Check out the Q&A session during the press conference below!

MC: How do you feel about Malaysia so far? Probably the weather or the food.
A: The weather is just like Korea now and we are here for our very first, our very own concert in Malaysia so we have so much expectation.MC: Have you tasted the food yet?
MH: I would try ‘Satay’. I have not tried it yet before this. I like all the skewered type of food so satay will be the number one thing I would like to try.

MC: Yonghwa, you have written many tracks for CNBLUE, so where and when do inspiration happen when it comes to your song writing?
A: It’s not like I plan or anything, but these inspirations just come naturally. It depends on what type of music I listen to, so it really depends on the environment. Sometimes I get inspiration for the lyrics and sometimes I get inspiration for others.

MC: Jonghyun, you’re a judo goal medalist in your school, so can you take on a bad person when you’re in a top situation?
A: Well now I have a lot of security brothers around me, so I don’t think it’s necessary for me to take action.

MC: Jungshin, you are the youngest but also the tallest. So much so that you have also walked the runway as a model for some big fashion events. Will you get into disagreement with your team members? Will you go like “Hey, I am the tallest”?
JS: NO~ (in English)
MC: You’re a really nice person
JS: Thank you~
Q: Do you have any fashion advice for your teammates?
A: Well it’s not quite an advice but whenever we go, for example Japan, We gave some ideas to our stylists that I would like to wear something like this and like that.
MC: You guys are amazing; don’t you (press) think so?
Press: Yeah~
Yonghwa: Yeah I know~

MC: Minhyuk, you acted in Korea’s popular drama. Which is your first love? Singing or acting?
A: My first choice is always the band. That is always my priority.

[Questions from press]

Q: Your start evolving around this year. How do you describe your style?
Yonghwa: Appearance or fashion?
MC: Fashion
Yonghwa: Well thanks to our stylists, who style us nicely. But usually whatever we wear… ummm I will stop here (laughs)
Q: Yonghwa and Jonghyun are successful singer song writers, so what about the maknaes (Minhyuk and Jungshin)
MH: Usually I take notes on the lyrical idea that I get time to time but we are still in the learning process and Yonghwa is teaching us really much but we usually edit songs together. So whenever we are doing work together I get to learn more. So by that time I reach their level, maybe we will have some songs written by ourselves here.
Q: What inspired the name BLUE MOON for your tour?
A: Blue moon only comes once in a while but you know sometimes these two moons appearing together called Blue Moon so since it’s gonna be our very first world tour, we want our tour to be very special so we name it Blue Moon
Q: In the next few days, you will be releasing your Japanese albums. Any plan to release Korean album near future?
A: We don’t write songs or make songs whenever we want to make a new album. We are always writing songs so when we are ready, and the right time comes then we will release our album. So every time constantly we are preparing for our new album. So I wouldn’t say that by this specific day we will release our album. We are always working on it. We hope it will release sooner too.
Q: How do you make sure your songs are different from other boy bands so that you’re CNBLUE.
A: Well, I don’t really have a clear definition of what is CNBLUE’s color for our music, but I guess our songs are very catchy and easy to sing along. Also, when you just hear our music, you can feel it’s CNBLUE’s song.
